Nigel Williams: New business pitch
One of the best new business pitches I did was for Bacardi.
We had to act out this campaign. Doing Karate moves in the presentation.
We went against the big East Coast agencies. I remember seeing them bring in all their heavy equipment for the pitch.
At one point during the presentation I told the head of Bacardi that I had been an illegal alien, to which he replied “So were we”.
I learned that sometimes not trying to impress people can be the best way.

Bryan Cranston: Nigel Williams: Chiat/Day: Nissan
Bryan Cranston shot a bunch of Nissan commercials for us while I was at Chiat/Day. There was one shoot we did, where he was addressing a large audience, we shot it and the client had a problem that he wasn’t looking at the camera so we had to reshoot the following week. Oops!

Jeremy Renner commercial: Nigel Williams
Before he did the Bourne Identity, Mssion Impossible, Jeremy Renner shot a Kia commercial with us in Arizona. The idea was that he was so into his new Kia, that he just kept reading the owner’s manual.
